The bambu lacquerware is made in Vietnam using cottage industry.
Our handmade bowls are coiled and lacquered by families
in rural villages to help supplement farming income.
We use two types of lacquer, a food safe
polyurethane also called PU lacquer, and a natural lacquer.
The Natural lacquer is derived from the cashew nut tree.
The PU lacquer is applied using a water
curtain spray booth that is ventilated utilizing recycled
water.
