bambu® Introduces the
First Patented Bamboo Utensil Collection
March, 2006 - Lawrence, NEW YORK– bambu®
the renewable ideas company, introduces the first line
of patented design kitchen utensils made from bamboo,
nature’s remarkably renewable material.
The new series of kitchen utensils consists of six styles
each created with an integrated spoon rest cleverly designed
into the shape of the spoon. The integrated spoon rest
suspends the spoon head off the countertop to eliminate
spills and the need for a separate spoon rest. The new
line of utensils from bambu is aptly called the ‘Give
It A Rest’ series.
The globally patented design was inspired
by the unique characteristics of the wall of the bamboo
culm. The integrated rest is included on a six products;
Spoon, Spatula, Rounded Spoon, Slotted Spoon, Risotto
Spoon, and a Rounded Spatula. bambu will be showcasing
the ‘Give It A Rest’ kitchen utensils along with over
30 new products for 2006 at the Gourmet Products Show,
May 9-11, 2006 in Las Vegas at booth #2422.
“This is one of several projects developed from our newly
established bambu design collective. We are building a
community of designers and product developers from around
the world to bring fresh and innovative design ideas to
