Feeding the Garden - a hands on event in Chicago

Chicago is a favorite city of ours. It has consistently been rated as one of the most environmentally focused cities in the US. From a well developed bike system, to LEED certified buildings and to an appreciation for locally produced foods.

When we were asked to be a part of a marvelous event, called Putting the Garden to Bed. The event celebrated the urban farming of greater Chicago. The city has promoted sustainable farming, environment education and small scale food production through the urban gardens spotted around the city.

The event attracted a greater than expected turnout. People ate locall produced foods off, none other, All Occasion Veneerware® from bambu. One comment was overheard about the plates was, "Don't re-use your plate; Get another one - they're COMPOSTABLE!" Feed The Garden...
