I'm thrilled to also be honored as the first Green player recognized by the editors of the magazine as someone who is set to shape the industry in 2009 and beyond. I'm pleased that issues of environmental responsibility and better stewardship of our natural resources, social equity and 'give back' initiatives are being recognized.
The housewares industry is not known for pushing bold initiatives and leading change. bambu well positioned to do just that, and we have a number of ideas that promise to push the boundaries.
This honor caps a tremendous year for us at bambu. From being awarded 'Best Design in 2008' for the entire Tabletop category by International Housewares Association, to being honored with the first ever, best 'Green Design' award by Gourmet Housewares in May.
