It equals a groundbreaking achievement. 1% For The Planet has surpassed the 1000 member mark. And that is an important milestone because it means that over 1000 companies have committed to giving back to planet through contributions to hundreds of non-profit groups focused on restoring and preserving our natural environment. Millions of dollars annually go towards protecting the planet.
When bambu joined up over four years ago, we were member#153. The group has expanded 10X since. The organization created by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Matthews of Blue Ribbon Flies. We deeply admire both organizations.
Rachel and Jeff are invited to celebrate this achievement with Tom Brokaw in New York on February. It just so happens we will be in New York, but unfortunately, our plans call for us to be in New York one week earlier. Tom, Yvon, Craig, wish we could be there.
